Renderable objects

Renderable objects are objects that can be seen or detected by vision sensors. They include:

  • Shapes
  • Paths (the path shaping functionality has to be enabled however)
  • Graphs (only non-static 3D curves will be rendered)
  • Mirrors
  • Octrees
  • Point clouds
  • Collections are also renderable, since they might contain renderable objects.

You can have a renderable object seen only by a specific vision sensor. Renderable objects can also have their renderable property individually enabled or disabled (enabled by default, except for pure shapes). This can be set in the object common properties or through the simSetObjectSpecialProperty API function.

Additionally, renderable objects can have their renderable property overridden depending on their related model properties (if they are part of a model). Refer to the model dialog for more information.
